INGS NOT THINKING ABOUT A MOVE AWAY FROM LIVERPOOL
Liverpool striker Danny Ings says he is not thinking about a move away from the club as the January transfer window beckons.
Speaking to The Times, Ings believes he can still make an impact at Anfield as he slowly makes his way back into the first-teams squad following a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
As a result of the lack of game time at Anfield, Ings has been linked with moves away from the club in a bid to re-capture some his best form, but the striker isn’t looking to leave.
Everywhere I have been, I have always found a way to make it happen. I have been in a lot of tough situations at previous clubs where it has been hard to break in. People from the outside looking in will probably have the assumption, ‘Oh, he’s the forgotten man’ but it has not crossed my mind at all. I still believe in myself. I still believe I can play in this team.
The former Burnley man made a substitute appearance against Leicester in the Carabao Cup last month, his first game in a Liverpool shirt for nearly a year, but the striker has not featured in the Premier League this season.
Ings has fallen down the pecking order following his knee injuries, with summer signing Dominic Solanke being used as Liverpool’s second striker from the bench.
